I am very proud to announce that menu number 1000 was downloaded yesterday, the 9th of September.
This value reflects the number of menu downloads via the ZIP archive downloader and does not include the amount of times the code has been copied. If you include the number of copied menu code the amount is considerably higher, but due to the fact that some visitors only download part of the code, like only the html or css code, I decided only to use the ZIP download number as an indicator.
I would like to thank everybody that have used the css menu builders and hope that you will continue to use this tool in the future, as it matures and additional menu builders are added.
Today I launched my pet project, built for people that want W3C standard compliant css menus for their website.
The site is mainly aimed at people, newly introduced to the web, that haven’t had time to get acquainted with all the various techniques for building a menu for their website, though some professionals might also find it appealing. The aim is to provide a simple userfriendly way for these people to build a nice menu and get a clear overview of how to implement it into their website.
Currently only horizontal menus are available, but I will be adding more types of menus within a short period of time.
There are 8 background styles and 35 images to choose from and you can define two colours for each of the three stages, inactive, hover and active, along with the link colour for each stage.
There are two ways of getting the code for your menu, either copy/paste the html, css and image generated below the menu preview or just download the zip file, containing a html document, a stylesheet and the image for the menu.
But instead of me writing a long post about all and nothing, I would rather you have a look at the different menus and try out the css menu builder.
Should you run into trouble along the way, then please drop me a line via the contact form, and I will do my best to reply asap.
